David Lunan’s EDP Update: November 2009

We are pleased to confirm, as the first phase of building at the Winton School in Ghana is almost ready, that our resident volunteer structural engineer, Martin Moore, is flying out to Accra on the 22nd November for a week to follow up the final installations and start sourcing for the IT services and equipment.
It will also be a chance for Martin to meet with the Local Authority to discuss utilities and with the Education Department to clarify the position in regard to teachers and curriculums, and hopefully also to meet with David Larbie, the local MP for Awutu.
In addition he has exciting outline plans to show everyone – including the village Elders – of the potential layout for the next phase of building which, subject of course to funds, we hope to be able to start in 2010.
Plenty to get on with and we look forward to sharing his news with everyone on his return!
